Pewter Casting:Tech Reflection
Today for Tech at Tamiki College we were finishing off our designs in our then getting ready to make our pewter moulds. To make our moulds we chose one design from our workbook then sketched it on to a piece wood. Then we cut out the shape or design we made with the scroll saw. Some people have finished thier designs and have started on pouring the pewter into thier moulds.Today I learnt that the thinner parts on your pewter design will be easier to break and the more thicker parts are stronger and will be better because it will last longer.I also learnt that Pewter doesn't rust or mould.
